Calligraphy

A form of art with roots from over 2000 years ago, Chinese calligraphy, or Shūfǎ 書法, is a visual art which provokes the observer to think. Because it is a two dimensional art from, the three dimensional idea is created in the mind of the reader.

I chose calligraphy as an outlet to express what I appreciate in life, nature, and philosophy. Much of my work is influenced by ancient masters of thought such as Sun Tzu, Confucius, Lao Tzu, etc. Others are singular kanji/hanzi (symbols) which portray an idea such as love, honor, beauty, achievement, etc.

Calligraphy is perfect for the home, office, dojo, exercise place, studio, spa, etc. I hope you enjoy what you see here, and there will always be more added. I also do requests for pieces if you are interested, including names. Prices depend on size, mounting style, and delivery.
